Job Responsibilities:
1.Organize meetings with Management regarding research & development requirements;
2.Attend sourcing and design meetings with Customers & Management;
3.Prepare Seasonal Schedules of Customer’s requirements;
4.Assist in creating seasonal merchandise plans for all product categories;
5.Visit exhibitions for sourcing new products - fabrics and garments;
6.Visit factories to asses & select the best & ideal ones for our products;
7.Determine factory manufacturing costs, meeting margin goals for the department, to prepare competitive pricing for customers;
8.Source samples with competitive prices from factories to keep for future reference;
9.Develop samples as to Customers requirements independently;
10.Organize product development samples, fabric swatches and track all invoices for samples;
11.Insure appropriate T & A preparation and attendance with direct reports, calling out issues;
12.Monitor development and sampling process to assure execution within time frames for milestone meetings and readiness for bulk production;
13.Follow up with vendors on product development and communicate with vendors to track pricing, lead times, and minimums;
14.Problem solving in sample development, quality and production issues;
15.Manage sample showroom set- up and marketing samples to insure timely arrival
16.Create data bank information for sales materials by sourcing specific product details, qualities information and pricing;
17.Develop cost component knowledge base to support merchandising teams in cost negotiations;
18.Frequent travel to various manufacturing sources.


Job Requirements:
1.At least 8 years relevant experience in garment merchandising, including 5 years in senior managerial level, possesses a University Degree – in textile, international commercial/trading;
2.Self-motivated, independent candidate who enjoys a fast paced dynamic work environment;
3.Must have demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills with previous supervising experience and developing direct reports;
4.Highly detail oriented, and dedicated to seeing a project through on time with accuracy.
5.Good experience on sample development is a must, good back-ground on quality and merchandising
6.Detailed understanding of product cost and price negotiation;
7.Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing at all levels,
8.Outstanding leadership, planning and thinking skills, well organized and self motivated;
9.Ability to multi-task and solve problems efficiently, quick respond in communication;
10.Can work under pressure and need to be aggressive, proven influencing and negotiation skills;
11.Excellent written and oral communication skills (English and Chinese);
12.Experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook required, Photoshop preferred.
