| Art + 798 Children's Arts Education Centre is looking for a full-time foreign ar...Art + 798 Children's Arts Education Centre is looking for a full-time foreign art teacher / curriculum developer to lead the way in our brand new Children's Arts Centre in the heart of 798 Arts District.
A challenging position for someone with teaching experience and an arts background to help develop our arts curriculum, blending together aspects from our already established 798 International Children's Art Festival and newly started online arts education platform.
Our arts centre opens on 25th January for the first time, complete with performance, exhibition and workshop spaces, classrooms with multimedia capabilities and an artist studio ready for resident artists to be invited over to form part of our varied and rich arts curriculum.
Candidates should have good Chinese skills and fluent English. You would need to be well-organised, proactive in your attitude to work, be capable of working with a team of international and Chinese colleagues and be able to multi-task effectively. We're expanding fast, with dozens of events both large and small scale throughout the year!
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to explore non-traditional teaching methods, while still maintaining a grounding in more traditional arts classes.
Responsibilities will include:
• developing our arts curriculum (in tandem with colleagues working on our online arts education platform, festivals and events, etc.)
• teacher training for artists and art teachers hired to teach in our centre
• Overseeing the Arts Centre scheduling (to include arts classes, workshops, one-off events, exhibitions etc.)
• actively contributing ideas and opinions to the development of all our projects
• creating & editing workshop and curriculum plans
• teaching
Experience with teaching (especially children) and an interest in the arts is essential.
Normal working time and salary to be discussed.
