My experience as a teacher of English was very challenging,but exciting. Firstly, I was a bit frightened about teaching children because it was a big responsibility. Before I came, children had had seven teachers of English who had changed quite often. So the result was disappointing : the knowledge of subject was very poor,they couldn't use correctly even the present simple tense,they didn't have a rich vocabulary. But the main problem was that they couldn't speak English and because of ignorance they didn't love my subject. I wanted them to have an interest in learning English, also my main goal was to teach them speak correctly and fluently. So, every lesson we studied grammar, listened to audiobooks and repeated after the speaker(this improved their pronunciation a lot). Also I made up a lot of situations which they were discussing in pairs or in groups. Moreover, we played a lot of games during which they could speak a lot and learn new vocabulary.
