We are looking for freelance academic editors with expertise in any of the following areas to join our team:
• Formal Sciences (esp. Computer Science & Maths) OR
• Natural Sciences (esp. Chemistry & Physics) OR
• Space Sciences
As a freelance writer/editor, you will:
- Work with clients with the support of a project manager to understand clients’ needs
- Edit academic articles in English to the professional standards expected in international scholarship
- Advise clients about the structure and content of their writing for an international academic audience
- Work on editing projects across range of disciplines and topics according to your academic background

Person specification:
Essential:
- Substantial postgraduate education in one of the disciplines mentioned above
- Native-level fluency in English
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to work with people from different cultural backgrounds
- Efficient task management and ability to meet deadlines
- Based in China and/or willingness to use WeChat
Desirable:
- Completion or near-completion of a PhD in one of the disciplines mentioned above
- Experience of professional academic writing and/or editing
- Chinese language skills
