The Director Project Procurement is a leading position within the global procurement organization, dedicated to managing project demands at launch and production sites. The ideal candidate shall be willing to move to China (South) for several years.
Areas of Responsibilities:
• Implement, develop and lead a major branch of the project procurement organization
• Build strong collaborative networks with internal business partners and the relevant other procurement organizations
• Drive the transformation process of the procurement organization together with Top Management
• Manage team of Project and Procurement Managers
• Support other procurement directors in the development and implementation of procurement strategies and supplier relationship management strategies
• Drive supplier integration in the development of new products to benefit from supplier experience to optimize product specifications and material cost
Profile of Qualification:
• Both technical and commercial education and/or work experience
• Experience in discrete manufacturing
• Procurement certification (desirable)
• 7+ years R&D project management or procurement management experience
• Experience in leading teams
• Work experience in international matrix organizations across functions and cultures
• Industry knowledge (Material Handling Equipment or Automotive)
• Experienced communicator in complex organization (such as matrix organization)
• Extensive experience in Change Management Processes
• Intercultural attitude
• Fluent German and English language written & spoken (further language desirable)
• University degree.
