| SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Product Manager is responsible for defining the product...SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Product Manager is responsible for defining the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing to ensure revenue, margin and customer satisfaction goals are met.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Deep understanding of customer data, profiles, trends, preferences, requirements, etc.
· Lead Chinese customer research projects.
· Deep understanding of competitors, competitive products, and competitive position.
· Develop and manage a product portfolio that supports the achievement of BSC objectives.
· Develop and manage a product roadmap that provides a clear view of the future of the Chinese product offering at RSC.
· Manage Stage 1 and 2 (Concept & Feasibility stages) of the New Product Development Cycle ensuring key milestones are met successfully.
· Collaborate closely with engineering to complete new product development, sustaining, and cost reduction projects.
· Manage Chinese product ideation sessions and the subsequent new product concept and development assets.
· Manage product set features/value on all products within the portfolio.
· Manage all parts of the product life-cycle.
· Manage the 4 P’s of Marketing. Product, Price, Place (where we will sell), and Promotion.
· Create and execute product launch plans.
· Provide Quarterly Competitive Analysis Reports that examine competition, sales, retailer and consumer trends.
· Understand the consumers’ needs and expectations for our products and services using methods such as listening to consumer calls in Customer Care.
· Understand the retail partners requirements and preferences in terms of product, margin structure, packaging and promotion
SPECIFICATIONS:
· 5-10 years of experience in product management/marketing
· Bachelor degree required – preferably in Business Marketing
· Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
· Strong English language skills.
· Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
· Ability to work independently and as a team to accomplish tasks.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines.
· Strong analytical skills in order to evaluate the market for each new product
· Domestic Travel 10 – 30%
· Experience in understanding customer features sets and value trade offs

· Keeps immediate supervisor up to date on all on-going projects, with regards to project status, completion time projections, and any problems that may have arisen during the course of the project.
· Responsible for ensuring that each product meets or surpasses product specifications, is on time and with in budget according to Balance Score Card Metrics.
· Execute the company’s Intellectual Property Strategy by creating new concepts or ideas that will lead to the goal of achieving design patents.

· Reports directly to Category Director

· Holds strong relationships with Sales Team and Customers.
