A. Responsibility
1. Read Functional Specification and understand the functional requirements and to come up with the best technical design which fits in the overall system architecture.
2. Write technical design documents in proper English and understandable to a wider audience.
3. (including people without detail insights into the topic).
4. Design and implement new features in Java application according to the requirement independently.
5. Perform full unit test for assigned components (Junit test, module test etc).
6. Designing proper system test cases (positive and negative) to test out the system behavior thoroughly and to design and execute performance stress test.
7. Perform code review.
8. Draft high level IT effort estimation based on some high level business requirement specifications or statements.
9. Provide effort estimates and mentor developers.
10. Resolve problems and defects in the projects.


B. Qualification
1. Very good domain knowledge and technical know-how: Ability to make technical decisions in cases where there are too many options or too few.
2. Very good understanding on software engineering process/procedure and SDLC (documents, build,system tests, code review etc.).
3. Good design skills - must be able to complete component & module design specification of decent quality himself/herself.
4. Good knowledge of implementing new/changed business requirements in the system and with clear assumptions.
5. Have the enthusiasm and ambition to complete projects to the highest standard and quality.
6. Enjoy working in a challenging team environment and a good team player.
7. Strong software development skill with JAVA and J2EE experience.
8. More than 5 years development experience is a plus.
9. Must have good English communication and coordination skills.
