A successful candidate must have the courage and conviction to make decisions in ambiguous situations.Candidate must be well prepared to lead team development efforts, cooperatewithin and across groups and functions. Ideal candidate must demonstrate strong ownership and accountability, has excellent organization and communication skills, enjoys learning, can effectively bring solutions to difficult problems, and has great attention to detail.Other key responsibilities include
?Define and present product and platform specifications and features.
?Ensure that designs meet established specifications, cost,timeline and development budgets.
?Embedded system firmware development.
?FW code reviews. Design FW architecture. Ensure FW to be reusable, portable and testable.
?Ensure good documentation of FW as well as version control.
?Manage project scopeand risks.
?Manage internal and outsourced development efforts and cross-boundary collaboration.
?Troubleshoot and analyze technical problems and recommend solutions.
?Collaborate with marketing and technology teams and participate in project reviews.
Requirements:
?Strong leadership skills in decision making, influencing others, formingconsensus and managing conflicts.
?BS in Electronics, automation, or Computer Engineering or equivalent is required.
?Real project experiencesin direct hardwareor firmware design & development.
?Solid communication skills in English. Oral, written and presentation skills in English is a must. Chinese language is a plus.
?Understanding of embedded system architecture.
?Understanding of hardware design at component and circuit level.
?Understanding of microcontroller architecture and real time FW design and development. Knowledge of Atmel, Freescale, NXP, and BCMmicrocontrollers is a plus.
?In depth knowledge of the industrial protocols that you have worked on.
?Knowledge of USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi protocols is a plus.
?Broad knowledge of other ITU & IETF protocols is a plus.
?Willing to travel to USA and Asia countries.
?Experience of managing Taiwan OEM suppliers is a plus.
