·Ensure all operations are working to the appropriate best standards in terms of safety and security
·Directing the daily activities of the warehouse, including labor scheduling, supervision and the proper utilization of space, equipment and manpower
·Ensure working procedures are kept up-to date to reflect the current process being adopted within the warehouse
·Develop and direct programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility
·Drive service and productivity improvements to ensure client satisfaction in the DC operations.
·Be a role model in displaying a positive and visionary attitude to the Maersk WND business plan
·Ensure flawless customer service to ensure client retention through the achievement of agreed KPI’s.
·Cost control to ensure forecast profitability is achieved
·Assist training and the development of WND skills in the operation team
·Appraise all direct reports in accordance with the company's requirements
·Ensure all training needs for the warehouse are highlighted to maintain the experience levels required for the completion of the daily tasks
·To coach, lead and motivate staff to reach personal and departmental goals
·Take appropriate action to ensure the smooth running of personnel matters within the warehouse incorporating company policies including but not limited to "Health and Safety Policy"
·Ensure a safe working environment is maintained within the warehouse. Including but not limited to safe working practices for Reach trucks, forklift trucks, Racking and all areas of operation
·Ensure all statutory and legislative requirements are met with regard to operating a warehouse
·To respond to any non-conformances or discrepancies when highlighted
·To ensure that the Corporate Health and Safety Policy is adhered to within the Operation and any non conformance investigated and reported as required by the Policy or Legislation

·2 years Warehouse or Distribution experience
·Knowledge of operational and modelling systems
·Experience of management of medium sized teams
·Good understanding of finance
·Budget Setting and P&L management
·Local WND market knowledge
·Well organized and independent to prioritise and meet deadlines
·Good English capabilities
·Understanding of the international logistics
·Ability to perform under pressure
·Control of sub-contractors
·Advanced WMS systems solution knowledge including EDI
·Microsoft office - Word, Excel, Access, Outlook
