As the company’s Internal IT infrastructure Architect, the Infrastructure Architect ensures GCG network plan & strategy and project implementation for WAN, Internet, LAN, Wireless and Remote access strategy and projects are covered and well managed, all China requirements clarify with Global to ensure plan and strategy are synchronized and are able to respond to dramatic changes in China business needs, her/his scope is not only covering IBM GCG, but also Joint Ventures and Subsidiaries in GCG, the infrastructure architect provides technical expertise, strategic planning and recommendations to IT managers and executive management for network design and new technologies in response to business needs.
The infrastructure architect applies complex design principles and methodology to ensure cost-effective and optimal use of resources and technology without jeopardizing network integrity.
5+ years of experience of managing and supporting network architecture for multinational enterprises.
In-depth understanding of the most widely used network Infrastructure Architecture and Standards
Expert in project management process for network projects, including planning, deploying and evaluating. Also familiar with the ITIL process, including change/incident/problem management.
Hands-on experience in various network projects, including Internet infrastructure environment in China, deploying virtualized LAN Datacenter environment, planning and implementing MPLS VPN network in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, designing large enterprise WAN, LAN, Internet WiFi and remote access, network provision such as QoS (Quality of Service) for data network, application e2e performance testing strategy and analysis, Firewall and secure Internet access etc.
Hands-on experience in operation large enterprise with user population more than 30,000 plus for maintaining smooth management and operations of the Data network local, regional and wide-area networks and services.
Expert Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including data network technology, Servers, Storage, Network, as well as best practice design of overall data network infrastructure and architecture
Required
Bachelor's Degree
At least 5 years experience in Network Architect
At least 5 years experience in Network Infrastructure, WAN / MAN / LAN design and implementation
At least 5 years experience in Server infrastructure design and implementation
English: Fluent
Chinese simplified: Fluent
Preferred
Certified in PMI
Certified in ITIL foundation v3
