The client is a US company in luxury eyewear industry, with retail division distributes eyewear to the world's most prestigious department stores, boutiques and Duty Free partners.
Job Location:
Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China
Reporting to:
Global Sourcing VP
Responsibilities:
+ Lead a regional sourcing team in Hong Kong/Shenzhen focused Service, Cost and Quality. Responsible for vendor/supplier performance, product development, price negotiations, Social & RSL compliance, technical engineering and QA/QC.
+ Partner with PD and Global Supply chain teams to develop targeted sourcing strategies aimed towards achieving established KPIs including cost, quality, delivery adherence and reduced lead times.
+ Engage with local suppliers to maintain relationships and report on local market activity
+ Continuous review of supply chain sourcing strategies and input on sourcing base including assessment of new supply partners
+ Monitor vendor/supplier performance and successfully achieve KPIs
+ Provide input into sourcing strategies within the Asian region
+ Develop talent with a goal to establish an industry leading sourcing organization
+ Budget control/expense approval
+ General personnel administration such
+ Provide sourcing support to sister companies and other regional offices
Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university
+ 10+ years business related experience required
+ Knowledge of eyewear industry
+ Lean Manufacturing Experience a plus
+ Knowledge of SAP a plus
+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
+ Experience with international sales and foreign currencies a plus
+ Collaborative and decisive
+ Excellent analytical skills
+ Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
+ Excellent organization skills, detail oriented
+ Flexible and able to quickly and effectively change priorities and direction
+ Overtime and weekend hours may be required
