Job Description

Business Performance Services focuses on aligning strategy, organisation, operations and supporting processes to help our clients achieve their growth and financial performance targets. We provide customized solutions to our clients to assist in making them successful players in their industries. Our focus industries are Financial Services, Real Estate, Industrial Markets and Telco.

Responsibilities

The Manager role primarily involves the following:

Participating in the rapid expansion of the BPS practice by contributing to the creation of effective business development and market expansion strategies in relation to Integrated Finance Solutions, including end-end financial management service from finance strategy, finance operation to EPM system implementation.
Managing and developing important client relationships with major clients in the above sectors
Managing and delivering high quality projects and results ensuring highest customer satisfaction
Recruiting a team of experienced consultants to manage projects in the area of Financial Management.
Managing resource allocation and optimization of resource utilization to ensure maximized performance of the team
Managing alliance relationships with KPMG’s key alliance partners in China/Asia Pacific
Experience and Knowledge

Six to eight years (or more) experience in management consulting, professional services advisory or with a blue chip industry company with demonstrable experience in one or more of the following areas of
Financial Management:

Financial Modeling, reporting / Finance strategy development, transformation, integration and governance
Enterprise Performance Management
Management Accounting
Budgeting, Planning and Forecasting
KPI definition
– Preference will be given to candidates with in-depth industrial experience and appropriate certification (e.g. P.E.) in consulting firm
– The successful candidate should also demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills (incl ppt skills), as well as Excel modeling skills
– Experience in managing high impact, complex and analytically challenging projects in high-pressure, milestone-based environments
– An ability to interface with senior industry executives and strong formal presentation skills
– Industry experience should include in-depth exposure in at least one of the following industries: Financial Services, Real Estate, Industrial Markets or telecommunication. Candidates with depth in multiple industries will have an advantage.
– In-depth industry knowledge which enables him or her quickly help to understand, categorize, shape as well as implement the C-level’s business needs
– We require all candidates to have a flexible, creative and innovative approach to problem solving and possess strong interpersonal and communication skill.
– Fluency in both written and oral Mandarin (Putonghua) and English is required
The Senior Consultant role has similar industry and functional exposure/requirements but typically has 4-6 years of industry experience.
Education and Professional Certifications

Ideally the candidate should have a Bachelor / Master degree in finance, accounting, business administration, information management or a closely related discipline (e.g. MBA, Financial Engineering, IT etc.); CPA preferred
Previous experience working with technology that enables finance services, such as Hyperion, Oracle, SAP, etc. is preferred.
