Current enrollment is 200 students ranging from seventh to twelfth grade. SAIE is focusing on educating and preparing Chinese students to attend universities aboard (primarily in the USA and Canada) and is dedicated to developing the minds of tomorrow to critically think and to succeed in an ever-changing world. Shenzhen Academy of International Education is currently recruiting teachers for the following positions:
1. Science Teachers (Physics, Biology, Chemistry) for Grades 7-9
2. Social Studies Teachers (US History, World History, Civics) for Grades 9-12
3. English as a Second Language/Literature Teachers for Grades 11-12
4. AP Studio Art, 2D, 3D, Drawing for Grade 9-12;
SAIE has specific academic standards that must be maintained and adhered to thus making the minimum requirements for potential applicants as follows:
1. Bachelor's Degree in relevant field from an accredited university (Master's and PhDs given preference)
2. Two years of teaching experience in relevant field
3. A letter of recommendation attesting to your skills as a teacher
The ideal candidate will have the following credentials
1. Master's and/or PhD work completed
2. State issued Instructor teaching license in relevant field and teaching certifications (CELTA, DELTA)
3. Three years of teaching experience in relevant field
4. 3.5GPA in major area of study
5. Two letters of recommendation attesting to your skills as a teacher
In both of the above cases one should be prepared to provide a writing sample during the interview process. The ideal candidate will be interested in working with SAIE for at least two academic years.
Salary and Conditions:
Monthly salary: 20000-30000RMB before tax
Accommodation: Housing provided or house allowance offered
Meals: Meals are provided free of charge to faculty on campus.
Airfare: Round-trip ticket for one-year contract
Paid holidays (Chinese and Western), including the winter and summer holiday.
