The Team. CCH’s Chinese-American management team boast a wide array of industry experience (advertising, teaching, investment banking, management consulting, accounting, technology)and credentials from leading US universities (including UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, Stanford University, University of Virginia) as well as leading US firms (Monitor Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, PwC), creating a work environment that is both challenging, sophisticated and intellectually stimulating.
The Market Opportunity. China’s explosive retail growth has been unprecedented. As recently as twenty years ago, market segments that were mature and sizable in developed economies were virtually invisible in mainland China. However, China’s retail market is being transformed in an unprecedented way in both speed and scale. Industries that took decades to develop in mature economies have matured in China in a matter of years – apparel, cars, e-commerce, fast food, luxury goods, FMCG, furniture, real estate… the list can include virtually every significant market. Each case is an example of a market segment where outside of China, established companies were satisfying significant and mature consumer demand. As consumer demand started taking hold in China, market opportunities emerged – huge demand with virtually no supply. The Job.CCH is looking for highly-motivated, high-energy team members who want to make a difference and share our love of home fashions and our vision for home fashions in China. Appropriate candidates must be able to work under deadlines and be highly proactive – CCH’s work environment is very creative and dynamic, each team member is expected to be able to contribute without being told exactly what to do on a daily basis.
Requirements:
-Four-year Bachelor’s Degree from a western University
-Well-traveled
-Strong attention to detail
-Native English fluency
-Written Mandarin fluency
-Love of home fashions, art, décor
-Previous work experience or coursework in marketing strongly preferred
Job Duties:
-Create delight and excitement by crafting marketing initiatives that are consistent with CCH’s brand DNA, while at the same time, understandable to our Chinese consumer.
-English and Chinese copy and campaign writing
-Idea generation, refinement, and execution of all outbound marketing collateral, including: social media, web, print, video, photography, events, etc.
