Event Coordinator organizes monthly wine and cheese events for Shenzhen Wine and Cheese Club now owned by ShenzhenParty.com. The clubs works with five star hotels in town and different wine suppliers to bring together the Shenzhen community in celebration of food and wine. The event coordinator will need to book a venue at the hotel and incorporate a wine supplier for each event and arrange all details related to event.
Responsibilities
- Organize all Monthly Saturday Wine and Cheese Events from pre-setup, greeting and post event take down
- Negotiate food and beverage and service with the hotel
- Negotiate wine selection, and arrange wine delivery in proper quantity
- Plan layout and audiovisual equipment at the hotel.
- Handle Reservations and Bookings, including phone calls before event to reconfirm bookings
- Promotion on social websites and magazines
- Book guest photographers
- Arrange staffing before and during event
- Achieve quality event production
- Organize other ShenzhenParty.com Related Events as directed
- Upload photos to web site and social media
- Launch and Manage Wine and Cheese Membership Program including renewals
- Responsible for P&L of Club
- Create and refine the experience for members of the club from announcement to event finish
- Attend other wine events in the city and report on them through articles and photo galleries

Requirements
- Good communications skills in written and spoken English
- Quick decision making skills with common sense
- Negotiation skills
- Should have knowledge of Wine and Chinese Wine Market
- Experience in organizing events
- Food and Beverage Knowledge
- Attention to detail, and ability to meet hard deadlines
