Company: Our client is the the SZ Representative office of a major US Sourcing organization

Responsibilities:
• To manage, implement and maintain the company's factory evaluation and product inspection program through Quality Control teams
• Review inspection schedules, manpower allocation, inspection results, other management and administrative issues
• Conduct and plan factory evaluations
• To take corrective action and follow up issues with factories as a result of evaluations, inspections or quality performance
• Make sure product quality meets or exceeds company’s standards
• Identify quality issues in-line and correct prior to final inspection
• Understand region of origin and outward processing arrangement process and checks
• Manage and develop quality control teams including recruitment, orientation, coaching, training and development
• Improve quality level and optimize quality control procedures
• Be responsible for Strategic Auditing and follow-up
• Responsible for internal quality control inspectors’ performance audit and surprise factory visits
• Work with Merchandising division as well as the Region’s parent sources in identifying quality issues, soliciting and monitoring correction actions plans , improving quality
• Interact with laboratory technicians, technical design and merchandisers to resolve issues
• Handle quality claims and failed inspections
• Review staff travel expenses

Requirements:
• Degree or above in textile or related technical discipline
• At least 8 years relevant experience with 5 years in supervisory role
• Familiar with statistical quality control standard and application methods
• Knowledgeable in garment production, and some basic knowledge in footwear, home and hardline
• Ability to evaluate fit, construction and workmanship of merchandise
• Know consumer product quality standards, packing and marking requirements
• Good judgment in determining quality problems and their causes, able to provide solutions
• Effective communication skill; ability to work and interact with others
• Effectively manage and coach team members
• High accountability and integrity
