You will serve as a mentor and advisor to high school students applying for admission to top U.S. undergraduate degree programs. You will help students:
• Identify their strengths and weaknesses to stand out in a holistic admissions process
• Develop their skills and potential through genuine, quality relationships
• Help them understand the value of a liberal arts education and global citizenship
As you advise students through each step of the college application process, you will have the opportunity to help Chinese students develop their self-awareness and the kind of skills that will allow them to thrive at college and beyond.
Requirements
● A bachelor’s degree from a highly-regarded U.S. college or university
● A passion for education and impacting the lives of young people
● Strong writing, editing and interpersonal skills
● Self-motivated yet able to function well as part of a dynamic team
● Eager to work in a linguistically and culturally diverse environment
Ideal Qualifications
● Mandarin language proficiency
● Study abroad or international experience
● Previous work experience in international education, admissions, or journalism/creative writing
