Started in Beijing by British outdoor sports professional Peter Tupper three years ago, the brand has expanded to Shanghai. Imagine's mission is to inspire development in more people in China through action and adventure, by building the first nationwide brand of its kind.
Working alongside the Branch Manager and with guidance from Beijing HQ, you will enable this to happen by managing the activity projects from start to finish. Your job will be to contact potential clients such as international schools, companies and other groups, discuss their activity requirements and put together the best action and adventure activities for their individual needs, based on experience of the activities.
After designing and putting together the activities, you will see each project all the way through to delivering the activity as the head instructor, with a team of other instructors whom you find and train appropriately.
After a trial period of one month, you will already become a partner of the branch, entitled to a percentage of all Shanghai profits while still with the company. Therefore, the more you see this as a long term career move, and the more dedicated and skilful you are in the role, the higher the compensation, with no upper limits!
There is some room for discussion on the exact arrangements and compensation based on many factors. But as an approximate guide, the compensation would be 7000 rmb/month base, plus 25% profit share, which can go as high as you can take it (from as many adventures and activities as you can sell and run each month).
Requirements:
Wide range of experience organising and running various outdoor/action/adventure activities
Bushcraft skills and experience strongly preferred
Great with kids
Positive, energetic, enthusiastic personality
A true passion for action and adventure sports
A good bachelors degree
Native or Near-native English
Chinese skills the higher the better (strongly preferred but not required)
Commitment to this as a serious career move for a number of years rather than a temporary job
