BroadMesse is currently seeking a Creative Planning & Design Director [Theme Park] to join its team in Shanghai.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the creative work (planning, story, design) of the Theme Park Department; expand the current capabilities of the existing group
Actively seek new design initiatives, attend meetings and competently communicate with client as a good presenter and sales-oriented Creative Director
Maintain an active role in the design community and stay up-to-date in the latest industry trends
Responsible for theme park's overall scheme design, demonstration, examination and approval of the feasibility of the design documents and programs, professional audit opinions
Develop and maintain a rigorous QA/QC program that ensures high design and drawing standards are consistently achieved
Ability to inspire clients and the team to provide innovative, technically and aesthetic strong design solutions, and to present those solutions in compelling presentations to clients and other stakeholders
Manage, mentor and supervise executive staff within the group; this will include daily/weekly supervision as well as yearly employee evaluations
Coordinate and integrate project work with other BroadMesse teams
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Art, Stage, Design or any related fields
Minimum 6 years management and design experience within the theme park design industry, with some famous successful cases
Excellent presenter; ability to create compelling design concepts that can be clearly executed
Passionate, confident and positive and able to work independently while directing others
Ability to monitor design development and submissions programs and tender documents to ensure the delivery of projects on schedule, within budget and ideally an increase in show elements
Familiar with local and national codes related to design direction and project safety
Familiar with design software (such as AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, 3D Studio MAX, Sketch Up, with Autodesk Revit a plus)
Able to hand sketch conceptual ideas
Able to create and guide strong presentations that win work and garner client support
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken; Chinese language skills are a plus
