Studio Esslinger is seeking a proven Design Leader (Industrial & Digital Design) with extraordinary design skills and is willing to share them with students.
She/He will be responsible for organizing the semester agendas, presentations, curriculum and work with the Studio's students in a very praxis oriented environment.
The Studio is looking for curious, optimistic, creative minds and storytellers who understand human behaviors, explore and analyze trends, and convert them into original solutions driven by social and ecological sustainability.
The Design Leader will be working in an elite team with students as a co-teacher and professional mentor, organizing student projects in three phases:
DISCOVER (design research and analysis),
DESIGN (ideation, sketching, model making) and
DEFINE (implementation of chosen concept, refined design, documentation and professional-grade presentation)
Requirements
A graduate degree of an industrial design program plus practical industry experience
Professional level of sketching, visual layout and model by hand and machinery
Up-to-speed with digital 3D CAD and modeling tools and 3D-printing
Positive attitude with an emphasis on self-motivation and quality of work
Promoting open, collaborative and team-inspiring spirit
Good communication skills from verbal to 2D sketching
Chinese & English fluently in spoken and writing
