Job description
You will be working within a team, based in Shanghai, that
is focusing on the processing of raw material inquiries
destined to Europe, Latin America and Africa. You are in
charge of purchasing and sourcing, market research and
trends mainly related to Food Ingredients and Additives,
Detergents, Personal Care & Cosmetics Chemicals plus
you are responsible for auditing and visiting suppliers. You
are in daily contact with Far-East suppliers and colleagues
within the sales and purchasing offices of Chemelco based
in Holland, Trinidad & Tobago and South Africa.
Your profile
You are educated in chemical engineering (food
preferred) or you have extensive practical training and
experience in chemical purchasing and sourcing. You are
accurate, a good negotiator, can handle stress and resultdriven.
Furthermore, you can handle yourself in a small
team, where team mentality is a must.
You perform well independently but also in a team. You
speak (near to) fluent English, Chinese and skilled user in
Microsoft Office.
Experience
We are looking for a colleague with experiences in
handling many different inquiries, familiar with whole
supply chain processes, logistics processes, but also
experience in negotiating with suppliers, risk and
control management.
