The school is currently looking for a part-time teacher to lead the "Caterpillar Class" for the children between 18 months to 2.5 years old (8 students max in the class).
Students are primarily children of Shanghai Centre residents, and each class may have a range of different nationalities and language abilities.
We are seeking qualified lead teacher for this class. Working hours are Mon-Fri from 8:30am to 12:30pm. Native English speakers preferred and prior preschool teacher experience plus university degree in Education required.
The lead teacher will conduct the classes in English, with support from an assistant Chinese teacher. Candidates should be caring, creative, full of energy, and have a positive attitude. We expect you to be able to partner together well with the other teachers and be highly self-directed, as you will be developing and preparing your own lesson plans. Excellent organization and communication skills required.
The ideal candidate will also have some conversational-level Mandarin ability, and is currently in Shanghai with plans to remain living here for at least the next 2-3 years with a valid long term visa.
We offer a competitive salary with a 10 month contract, tied to the school calendar (mid August through mid-June). 30 days’ paid holiday is included in the compensation. Contract can be renewed yearly, upon review by the Committee. Current job starts from March 2016.
