WESSCO International is currently seeking a Senior Product Designer to join its Asia regional headquarters in Shanghai.
Responsibilities
Support WESSCO's design team to create branded products for global travel industry in collaboration with world-class brand houses in luxury (e.g. Ferragamo, Hermes, Bvlgari), cosmetics (e.g. LaPrairie, Clarins, Kiehl’s), and designer (e.g.Philippe Starck)
Collaborate with design team to create collateral materials (presentations, proposals, etc) for sales & marketing support
Requirements
English: fluent or native level
Product and/or accessory/bag design (with degree in product design/fashion design) showing work experience in:
Vector illustration (Adobe Illustrator or equivalent)
Raster imaging (Adobe Photoshop or equivalent)
Desktop Publishing: basic page layouts and preparing documents for print (Adobe Indesign or equivalent)
Freehand illustration and sketching ability
3D modeling (Rhino, CAD, Sketchup or equivalent) — desirable but not required
Knowledge of top brands for luxury, fashion and cosmetics
An eye for color and material combination
Awareness of trends in international design (fashion, interiors, product design, styles, colors, etc.)
A positive, “can-do” attitude: determination to overcome obstacles and find solutions to problems
A strong work ethic, ability to work independently, but also teamwork-oriented
Rigorous attention to details (dates, measurements, sizes, colors, words/spelling, formatting)
Ability to execute instructions thoroughly
