Job Description

A leading global healthcare communications agency requires a Creative Director based in Shanghai, with an impressive portfolio and a keen interest in health and wellness to serve as the creative leader for the agency internally and externally with clients, to drive creative excellence.

As part of a renowned communications group, this leading agency is dedicated to the healthcare market in China. They provide the highest level strategic thinking and integrated one-stop shop services in market research, strategic planning & consultancy, marketing communications and advertising.
Responsibilities

Effectively leading and directing the creative team to inspire and develop creative strategy, concepts, and creative tactics for client work that is of high quality
Staying abreast of industry creative landscape and trends, break conventional thinking and drive better ideas and continuously strive to elevate the quality of the work
Building and maintaining key client relationships as the lead creative representative from the agency
Attending, presenting, defending, and contributing to creative presentations and discussions with the client regarding creative deliverables
Identifying current and future talent by assessing and setting clear performance expectations
Being the creative leader and forcing in partnering with account and medical leaders to engage the teams in cross-functional collaboration
Managing the workload, working with the creative team, account and medical colleagues, to optimize efficiency and spread the load as necessary; provide solutions to resourcing issues and planning obstacles
Serving as the creative leader for new business pitches and proposals, leading the creative strategy
Presenting creative ideas at pitch presentations
Requirements

Having a BA degree with 8 years working experience in 4A agency, plus 2+ years’ experience managing teams
Having a strong understanding of client needs and strategy to translate those into innovative, compelling, and market-moving creative deliverables
Strong proficiency of basic design programs such as Adobe CS, Mac OS, etc.
Experience with overseeing digital/interactive (iPad, App, website) creative work and design
Proficiency in verbal English is a requirement; English reading and Mandarin proficiency is a plus
Highly enthusiastic, flexible, adaptable, curious, with a cooperative spirit, and demanding of high work quality
