International branding agency BSUR is seeking a Senior Brand Strategist to join its team in Shanghai.
The Senior Brand Strategist is responsible for research & strategy involving all aspects of brand development, as well as being a collaborative team member with client services and creative direction.
You can work independently and lead research, analysis, planning, writing, and uncovering insights and developing strategies that articulate and position brands, launch new programs and guide creative expression.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, creative & critical thinker and problem-solver — a bright mind with the ability to simplify what’s complex, someone who posses strong client skills and, above all, an understanding of brands and how they work.
He or she has a profound interest in the behavior of people and the reasons behind it, and overall, is a genuinely nice person who can inspire both the agency's clients and the BSUR team. Overall, the agency just asks you to be as you are.
Requirements
Must have bachelor degree in marketing, business, psychology, communication or related field
5 years of experience in the field of marketing or international business
Preferably experience with qualitative research skills and knowledge of advanced marketing practices
Possess an understanding of brand concepts (positioning, messaging, architecture, visual language)
A strong, well-reasoned vision on what happens in the world – plus the ability to convince others of that vision
Excellent communication and writing, plus excellent story telling and presentation skills
Strong conceptual and analytical skills
Intuition and research are equally important
Good language skills
