The Silk Initiative is now looking for a Digital Account Manager for its Shanghai office to assist in the following activities. The ideal candidate will work alongside experienced industry consultants in supporting them to find new business opportunities, strengthen the company's Digital Communications capabilities and assist in the creation of best practices of digital marketing activities.
Responsibilities
Monitor company, industry & general information sources to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in above and below-the-line as well as through-the-line activation strategies of food and beverage brands currently in China
Assist in developing new client business pitches and proposals by helping to design integrated Digital marketing solutions across digital (including social media), PR, trade, print advertising, and events
Play a lead role in Digital related activities such as contacting industry magazine editors for media interviews and article placements
Ensure high quality production of client content marketing materials described in proposals including, but not limited to: collateral, sales tools, flyers, videos, white papers, case studies, customer testimonials, direct mail, blogs and e-marketing/web to drive lead generation and sales
Setup and manage client campaigns on social media platforms such as WeChat and Weibo and keep up to date with latest developments and trends with regard to functionality advancements on these platforms to be leveraged in securing additional work with existing clients
Identify and manage relationships with partners as well as food & beverage journalists, media personalities, food bloggers and key influencers in China, working together to place unique, high quality content that builds brand awareness for the company's clients
Support the project team in PR/Digital related engagements by providing your knowledge and expertise when executing won projects
Requirements
BA/BS or equivalent degree in either business, PR/Comms, digital marketing, social psychology
3-4 years experience in PR/Digital/Comms with a leading agency or food & beverage company in China
Proven track record of strong communications strategy writing skills as well as creating and executing on Digital strategies
An existing and broad range of media contacts from online and offline media outlets, preferred; must have directly dealt with client
Close attention to detail and ability to deliver projects to meet tight deadlines
Ability to synthesize different sources of information into meaningful stories/interpretations
Can work in team settings and also independently
Proficient spoken and written English and Mandarin skills are essential
Driven and passionate about the food and beverage industry in China,have had experience in this industry and wanting to make a difference.
