Job Description

Contemporary art gallery in Shanghai is looking for a full-time Gallery Assistant to support the gallery and studio’s operations.

An education, professional background/knowledge, or a strong interest in art and/or photography preferred. Work experience in an art-related environment or administrative experience is required.

The ideal candidate must have excellent spoken and written communication skills in Mandarin and English (native Mandarin with near-native ability in English), be an independent thinker and problem solver, and have leadership ability.
Responsibilities

Supporting the daily operations of the gallery and its studio
Exhibition preparations
Marketing and social media
Coordinating with vendors and suppliers
Various administrative duties
Requirements

Strong ability to work independently
Ability to diagnose problems and initiate solutions
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Writing and editing, database and advanced computer skills
Demonstrated ability to work with frequent interruptions and to follow through with tasks
Ability to coordinate multiple projects, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines
