Additional to your salary made from teaching units, you will also be compensated for demos, assessment tests, reports and travel costs when the lessons are offsite. Full time contracts also offer medical insurance, 12 paid days of annual leave in addition to the 11 annual public holidays announced by the government, an annual performance bonus when applicable, as well as periodic bonuses for resigning your contract.
The position consists of teaching Business/Social English using our method, which focuses on oral skills to small and manageable class sizes of 3-8 students. The school’s method is unique and created all the material themselves. The instructors are provided with Instructor Guides that will enable you to teach the lessons with minimum preparation time once you have received our training. Additional to the school’s initial instructor training, that gives you all the necessary tools to teach their classes, you will have constant on-the-job training and a chance for career advancement. Once you are trained to teach with us in China, you will be able to teach in any other country where we are located and can have opportunities available around the world.
In China, the schools are located in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Suzhou, all close to the city centers in attractive locations for adults, business professionals as well as for children. You should be experienced in all ages, including kids, but especially in business/adult education.
Classes may be scheduled between 8:30 am to 9:30 pm and will be arranged in groups of 45 minute-units. The schools are open 7 days a week so you are required to work at least one weekend day. Your working schedule will vary from center to center, so you can further inquire about this during an interview with the local hiring manager.
In order to comply with the regulations for issuing visas for foreign language experts, you must meet all of the following requirements:
Be under 55 years old, have completed a Bachelor’s Degree, hold a passport from a native English speaking country (Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, UK and USA), have completed a TEFL certificate with at least 2 years working experience.
This company will be able to extend a working (Z) visa if you already hold one and can convert Business/Tourist visas to working (Z) visas, although, depending on the city you work in, you may be required to travel to Hong Kong to complete the final stage if you are converting from a Tourist/Business to a working visa.
