Design Overlay is looking for a Retail Design Manager to join its team in Shanghai.
You will be managing a team of designers on highly motivating retail projects for leading Chinese and International brands. Starting from the first creative meeting all the way to the opening of the store. You will be guiding your team through brainstorming, ideation and visual representation of the selected concepts. You will help CAD designers to execute the design and then follow the construction process, selecting materials and going on factory visits. You will be working on a large variety of projects throughout the year and will have great opportunities to make your mark and grow with them.
Requirements
Must have
Experience in Retail Design
Great social skills - can manage & guide different personalities smoothly
Amazing organisation skills
A driving core to never settle for average
Very pro-active personality with strong sense of initiatives
English written & oral professional fluency
Should have
Ambition, passion, willingness grow & make others grow
Good knowledge & interest for the world of brands
Great sense of proportions, colors matching & material choices
Great knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially in China
Good drawing skills
Good Photoshop & Illustrator skills
3Ds Max, Rhino or Sketchup understanding
Premiere Pro & Affter Effects understanding
Easiness to kill ideas, specially your own, if not the best answer
Nice to have
Chinese language skills
Nice shoes or cool shirt
Genuine interest for beers on Friday night
