Our school is a typical Korean“hakwon,” or after school academy, where students from a variety of schools improve their skills outside of normal class. You will help their speaking and writing skills in particular (while also modeling a native English accent.)
Job Description: Planning, preparing, and teaching classes in English, focusing on Speaking, Writing, and TOEFL test prep. Classes are scheduled in the afternoons/evenings, with a few on Saturday mornings. As you begin, your curriculum will be guided, but once you are established you will have the freedom to address your students’ needs as you see fit.
*18-25 contact hours per week, weekday evenings and Saturday morning/afternoon
*Class size: 2-10 (usually around 5)
*Two“Intensive Sessions”a year (Morning classes for 5-8 weeks)
*Chinese working holidays observed
*Chinese Z working visa provided
*Located in the heart of“Korea Town,”Minhang District, Shanghai
Job Requirements:
*Native English speaker (From an Anglophone country preferred but not required)
*Engaging, positive attitude
*Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in education
*2 years relevant experience
*TEFL certificate
*TOEFL/IELTS/TEPS teaching experience preferred
*Ability to obtain a Chinese visa
