Responsibilities
Keeping relationships with existing clients
Addressing new, unexplored potential clients
Setting up meetings between the design team and existing and potential clients
Following up contract negotiations
Requirements
Fluent English
Preferably fluent Chinese
Understanding the studio DNA, philosophy and vision and translating this as the perfect investment to potential clients
Reading and translating the needs of potential clients and transferring them to the design team
Socially skilled for networking
3 years experience in sales
Preferably 3 years experience in product design
Preferably experience in selling design services (not selling the design products themselves)
Preferably experience as business developer in a design consultancy studio
Experience in foreign companies
Preferably existing network of potential clients in the industrial design field (not only furniture)
A good knowledge of what is an innovative and sustainable business model and company
A good knowledge of design management
The job is based in Shanghai so you should be prepared to relocate (if necessary).
