BSUR Shanghai is looking for a Brand Strategist to join its team in Shanghai.
BSUR is looking for a Brand Strategist at an intermediate level. The person should grow within 1 to 3 years into Senior Brand Strategist. BSUR values creativity, diversity and authenticity. The Brand Strategist is responsible for supporting the team on research and strategy involving all aspects of branding and communication. They are a collaborative team member with client services and creatives.
He or she will research, analyse, plan, write, and uncover insights while developing strategies that articulate and position brands, launch new programs and guide creative expressions.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, creative and critical thinker and problem-solver — a bright mind with the ability to simplify what’s complex, someone who possesses strong communication skills and, above all, a deep understanding of brands and how they work. BSUR is looking for someone who has a profound interest in the behaviour of people and the reasons behind it, and overall, a genuinely nice, interesting person who can inspire both the clients and the internal team. Requirements
The job holder must at least have a bachelor degree in marketing, business, design, psychology or related fields
Minimal 3 years of experience in the field of marketing or international business
Preferably experience with qualitative research skills and knowledge of advanced marketing practices
Possesses an understanding of basic brand concepts (positioning, messaging, architecture)
A strong, well-reasoned vision of the world – plus the ability to convince others of that vision
Excellent communication, writing and story telling skills, as well as presentation making skills
Strong conceptual and analytical skills
Can easily multi-task, prioritise and concurrently work on multiple projects
Intuition and research capabilities are equally important
Native Chinese speaker with a excellent command of English.
