Each student has the freedom to choose which courses to take, and, as they discover which subjects stimulate their curiosity the most, students can work one-on-one with experienced academic professors. Instead of requiring specific courses, Xingwei expects students to develop knowledge and skills in areas like written communication and cross-cultural understanding. As they progress, students can choose to concentrate on a
capability set: entrepreneurship, leadership, creativity, and innovation / invention.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The general duties of this position will be to teach classes at Xing Wei College. As a part of that,
the professor(s) will:
- Prepare course materials, organize classes, keep student records, maintain classrooms and
equipment, and other duties related to the instructional process.
- Explore, assess, and implement appropriate instructional technology to enhance student
learning outcomes
- Employ appropriate assessment techniques to measure student performance in achieving
course goals and objectives.
- Communicate progress in the course to students in a timely manner.
- Prepare and submit instructional records, reports, and grades established by institutional
policy.
- Serve as a mentor and assist with student advising.
- Perform all related and implied duties as may be directed.
- Promote the College's mission, values, and vision.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to understand English or Chinese.
- A combination of education, training, course work and experience to demonstrate knowledge,
skills, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification is: Master's degree in History or
another field.
Preferred: Teaching experience, preferably in a liberal-arts college. The successful candidates will
demonstrate excellence in teaching, a commitment to integrating new technologies in the
learning process, an ability to inspire, motivate and empower students to succeed, and will be
enthusiastic at modeling and teaching the "soft skills" that increase student's ability to earn
certificates and degrees of economic value that will lead to career success.
