The Shanghai facility is seeking a skilled and motivated International Manufacturing Engineer Trainee to join the International division.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Oversees, organizes, controls, and coordinates the effective and safe operations of the TCF Shanghai facility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage the facility's improvement program by identifying opportunities for improvement, organizing the resources required to make the necessary changes, and then implementing the changes as approved by the General Manager.
• Coordinate with the plant manager to ensure that shipments are made on time and that required quality is achieved.
• Set up an efficiency monitoring system and use the information gathered to implement efficiency improvements.
• Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for job assignments.
• Create, implement and manage a system to track stand hours and actual hours.
• Ensure that quality standards are met and correct processes are followed in the production area.
• Manage the maintenance of shop facilities to provide the lowest cost of both operations and machinery.
• Establish and implement training program for workers to include safety procedures, work processes, and cross training to multi-skill the workforce.
• Interpret and manage compliance to company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
• Train the operator for the testing and balancing in the shop.
• Manage job schedule by working with the project manages to ensure jobs are scheduled efficiently.
• Coordinate with domestic manufacturing plants and corporate office on orders for multinational customers who are in the territory of TCF Shanghai.
• Manage the engineering and sourcing departments in order to achieve cost and quality objectives and to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform General Manager duties when General Manager is out of the office.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• BSME, BSIT, or equivalent.
• Competent in CAD, preferably AutoCAD.
• Excellent English and Chinese language skills.
• Ability to work on an independent basis.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Standard office environment
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
• Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach
• Ability to work extended hours sitting at a computer
