East China Capital Markets is seeking a manager level professional, to be based in Shanghai. As a senior member of the local team, the person will be responsible for the further development, coordination and implementation of the investment and advisory services, with a particular focus on East China business.
The responsibilities include the education of foreign investors seeking to enter the China market, project management of both buy and sell side transactional business, and project management of development consulting work.
The candidate will have strong financial and analytical skills, be able to quickly develop a strong understanding of the local real estate market, together with being familiar with the issues and processes relating to real estate foreign investment.
The candidate will ideally have experience in China, be strongly self-motivated and have the ability to work on assignments from the early advisory stages through to execution, and utilising the resources of *** along the way.
Proactively engage in business development activities through networking, industry seminars, leveraging the existing relationships of other business units. Particularly focussing on larger scale institutional owners, corporates and purchasers each of the core markets. Additional focus on developing and building capability in indirect real estate products (funds, securitisation etc.) Manage the preparation of marketing materials such as presentations, proposals etc. Develop and execute parallel strategies for business development within the core services of the Capital Markets team, working alongside other directors in the group.
Lead advisory and investment services to effectively conclude major transactions – predominantly focusing on the local market. This includes the management and involvement in teams that will prepare of information memorandums, financial analysis, analytical and market intelligence. Ensure timely and accuracy of deliverables such as timelines, cash flows, presentations and approvals. Senior level client and account management on key transactions will be required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
A native speaker of English who is willing to work in China.
At least 3 years of experience in real estate investment / asset
management in real estate/ investment banking
Strong analytical ability.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders.
Promote open, constructive and collaborative relations with colleagues, clients and the wider business community.
Confident, outgoing disposition with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Proven knowledge and understanding of relevant legal jurisdiction.
