Teacher of English (EAP/ESL) and Head of English Department

Requires to start in August 2020 a suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic
An ideal candidate will have the following;
An academic qualification at UK graduate level in English or similarly related areas (Essential). A relevant postgraduate qualification such as TESOL is highly desirable.
Relevant teaching experience of a minimum of two years (Essential). This experience should relate to the delivery of a Western-style syllabus such as IGCSE ESL using Western conventions and methodologies.
IELTS/TOEFL training experience is desirable.
For the Head of Subject position, a minimum of five years of teaching experience and three years of relevant management experience is essential. Management experience should ideally relate to the departmental team leadership, resources development, development of the curriculum and assessments and the training/examining for standardised tests such as IELTS/TOEFL.
A recognised teaching qualification in English or a recognised TEFLQ (Trinity or Delta) is highly desirable.
The ability to contribute to integrated teaching across the curriculum (Essential).
An understanding of UK/Western higher education and the needs and requirements of international students (Essential).
Experience of academic assessment and standards and of quality assurance procedures (Desirable).
Experience of living and working in China, preferably in education sector (Desirable).
Age Limit: 60 years
Package highlight: Gross monthly salary in the range of RMB 20000-30000, health and accident insurance (family included), annual flight allowance of RMB 10000, relocation allowance and housing allowance. There are additional allowances for the positions of responsibility. Every year of service will earn an increment in the range of 9000 to 18000 in the annual salary in the following year. Paid winter and summer holidays of around 9 weeks a year in addition to usual public holidays in China.
Contract is offered for twenty-four months, renewable by mutual consent. At the end of the contract a bonus equivalent to two months’ salary is payable, subject to satisfactory appraisal in each of the two years.
