responsibilities
Teach up to 20 hours per week to IGCSE and A-Level students according to CIE subject spe cifications and guidelines set by Suzhou International Academy, BFS U.
Provide the Head of department (HOD) and Execut ive Principal monthly teaching plans in line with the Scheme of Wor k (SOW).
Seek prior approval from the HOD if they wish to deviate from the S OW in any way.
Set and marks regular tests, set and mark internal examinations as s pecified by the HOD.
Write student reports in line with the school reporting schedule.
Acts as tutor to a group of students as assi gned by the Executive Principal.
Set and marks homework on a regular basis in orde r to enhance students’ lea rning.
Participate in meetings w ith parents.
Participate in ‘ Open Days’ for prospective students and parents.
Invigilates examinat ions as directed by the Executive Principal.
Advise HOD regarding speci alized subject resources required to help students optimize their learning.
Write references for studen ts and help them to edit their personal statements for application to universities.
Accept other duties assigned to enhance the learning experience of the students and smo oth functio ning of the International Division.
Undertake lesson observ ations as specified in the SIA teacher’s contract.
Attend meetings and training s essions which are considered necessary for staff development.

Native English speaker (U. S. A/Br itain/Canada/Australia/New Zealand/Ireland/South Africa)
Bachelor’s degree or higher
TEFL/TESOL certificate(120 Hours)
Over 2 years’ relevant teaching experience
Responsible, outgoing, friendly, hardworking and easy to work with
