This project involves reviewing a translated industrial report focused on e-commerce payment options in different countries, while promote the client’s own payment platform within the competitive landscape of the target market. The target audience includes business stakeholders, potential partners, and industry professionals. Therefore, the tone should be professional, persuasive, and aligned with British English business writing conventions.
The original Chinese reports follow a structure and style suited to local business communications and media. Therefore, the reviewer is expected to do more than just proofread; they must also adapt the report creatively to ensure an en-GB tone, structure and clarity. This includes reorganizing or rephrasing content for readability and impact, breaking up dense text and ensuring logical section flow, in order to make the English version feel native, strategic and relevant to UK-based decision makers.
Main Requirements:
British English speaker with more than 3 years of experience in translation/transcreation/localization.
High proficiency in Chinese, able to fully understand source content
Ability to restructure content logically. Skilled in business and economic writing
Strong understanding of e-commerce terminology, especially in international markets
Able to identify linguistic, cultural, and stylistic issues and provide high quality revisions
Familiarity with digital payment systems, e-commerce trends, and financial topics.
Ability to correctly interpret data-heavy texts (percentages, growth rates, market size)
Any relevant experience in marketing, economics, research agencies, commerce or digital payments, fintech/payment solution is highly desirable
Reliable communication and adherence to deadlines
Compensation: 0.019 USD per Character
