The Opportunity
Hurtwood House Beijing is seeking to appoint a highly skilled and passionate PE Teacher for September 2021. The successful candidate will join one of the most exciting educational projects of our time – namely the education of Chinese nationals in a bilingual context.
There are tremendous professional opportunities for teachers wishing to bring their cutting-edge practices to the most rapidly developing country in the world and it is an exciting moment in the development and expansion of Hurtwood House Beijing. Following the incredible success of the Primary School which opened in 2017, the Secondary School will open for the 2021-2022 academic year and offers incoming staff a unique opportunity to be part of a new team whilst benefitting from established foundations.

The Person
The successful candidate will have:
A subject relevant degree from an established university (required)
PGCE/QTS or equivalent (required)
2 or more years of full time, school based, teaching experience (required)
Excellent working knowledge of the PE curriculum
High levels of PE subject knowledge and know-how (required)
Experience of working with children who have English as an additional language (required)
Experience of working in the independent sector (desirable)
Hurtwood House Beijing is dedicated to delivering outstanding extra-curricular activities, including sport. The expectation is that the incoming PE Teacher will dedicate time to teams, clubs and training outside of school hours, including organising sports day and residential trips for students.
