ABOUT THE JOB
The Point is a primetime daily current affairs program that reports on the most important stories from China. We present in-depth analysis and coverage of major world issues and features from both international and Chinese viewpoints. The Point comments on global news through Liu Xin's unique perspective, while at the same time connecting with viewers on all continents through social media.
We are looking for an Editor who has previous work experience in China and has a strong understanding of China and USA relations. Enthused by China focused affairs, your solid journalism background has given you the skills to be able to research, pitch story angles, and write/edit for daily show topics. You possess a high standard of editorial judgment, flawless “on demand” writing, a knack for writing TV headlines and the digital skills to contribute to our online service.
ABOUT YOU
* Must have previous work experience working within a China and USA relations environment
* Native English speaker
* Previous work experience in an opinions show
* You may have come from a background in international relations, PR or Customs and Boarder Protection
* Experienced Editor with a solid media background
* In previous roles you have provided balanced and objective editorial judgment based on a thorough understanding of editorial guidelines, journalism ethics, target audience, and channel objectives
