Job description:
1. Be responsible for collaborating with the English team in designing and implementing innovative curriculum in language acquisition with a strong emphasis on literacy.
2. Be responsible for leading the designation and implementation collaborative PBL projects.
3. Collaborating with the English team and class teacher team in Teaching & Research.
4. Teachers will post a description of activities once a week in AMRhino，and regularly discuss and follow up the overall development of students with the class teacher team and subject teaching team.
5. Organize regular interviews with parents together with class teacher team and give timely feedback on student development in school.
6. Provide timely guidance on emotional management and behavior for students during school time and collaborating with team in timely deal with sudden emergencies.
7. Participate in other temporary work assigned by the school.
8. Be responsible for collaborating with the English team in designing and implementing innovative curriculum in language acquisition with a strong emphasis on Comprehensible Input and reading comprehension.
9. Teachers will conduct a pre and post-test interview with writing check to determine student ACTFL levels. These writings will be put into the student’s English portfolio.
10. Teachers will create weekly/bi-weekly flashcard sets on Quizlet for students to practice vocabulary/spelling outside of class.
11. Teachers will create and post an audio book recording of class story/discussion for students to listen with and read at home.
12. Teachers will conduct and share with team and administration a 9 week mid-term assessment to determine student progress.
Qualifications Required:
1. Have a clear career path planning in teaching and education with strong driving force.
2. Be consistent with school education concept and culture.
3. Major in language, literature or education with master's degree or above;
4. At least 3-5 years teaching experience in primary school or international school is preferred;
5. Be professional in English teaching as well as other teaching methods including TPRS\STEAM or PBL etc.
6. Good team spirit.
7. Teacher's qualification certificate such TESOL or TEFL is a must;
