Role:
1. Provide Differentiated English Language Classes and English Circle Time
· Conduct intake assessments for all children to place them in the appropriate
learning group
· Facilitate engaging English Language pull out classes an monitor student
learning to achieve the 2 week learning objectives
· Assign English at home reading and work as needed
· Keep files on the English Learning Progress of each child
· Reflect with the English team to share ideas and challenges and work in a
mutually supportive environment to provide a high quality English Program to
all students
· Ensure the classroom has the necessary resources and books for the English
Program or communicate any needs to the English Program Leader
· Based on the English curriculum, cultural theme, and possibly the virtues
curriculum, provide a daily English circle time for each classroom you are
supporting (using music and role plays to engage the children)
2. Provide Additional Support
· Support the English Montessori English dominant morning by presenting some
activities in English
· pare progress reports for each child twice annually
· Present feedback on the child’s English learning at parent teacher conferences
· Actively contribute in daily classroom reflection meetings with the classroom
team
· Support the needs of the classroom around events, field trips, cultural theme, or
for classroom management
Requirements:
· 2+ years teaching experience as an English Language Teacher preferred
· TOEFL certification or Education degree preferred
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills
· Possesses an attitude of learning
