The individual(s) should be Beijing-based or willing to relocate, and passionate about spreading the word on air pollution and using social entrepreneurship as a tool for creating positive social change. Job description:
The role is focused on growing Smart Air’s workshop programme and marketing Smart Air as a social enterprise which educates people on air pollution.
A list of detailed tasks is as follows:
**Organise workshops**
* Set up Smart Air workshop events across China
* Build long-term relationships for hosting and running workshops.
* Perform research on new cities and districts where workshops could be held.
* Manage our existing workshop co-ordinators and allocate workshop responsibilities.
**Marketing**
* Build Smart Air's marketing channels, you'll be given lots of freedom to do what you like!
* Promote Smart Air and workshops in WeChat groups (e.g. community, family, education, expat groups etc.).
* Post workshop information to social media (WeChat, Weibo, Facebook, email lists).
**Core competencies**
* Chinese as a native language.
* Strong English ability – preferrably 1+ years living in an English speaking country or working in an English speaking environment.
* Great communicator and with strong understanding of social media and networking.
* A strong passion for Smart Air’s social mission of helping people protect themselves from air pollution, and for the environment.
**Quick facts**
* Working hours: Flexible. Smart Air is a small social enterprise, with flexible working hours. Salary is paid depending on monthly hours you work (standard working week is 35 hours/week).
* Salary: Competitive, increasing over time (Smart Air will also pay national insurance and health allowances for you).
* Working term: 1+ years. We’re looking for a long term member to the team to help Smart Air grow as you do!
