The job purpose of the Head Chef is to check the food and keep a standard of quality, train the staff according with the program guidelines, apply sanitation standards and design new dishes on occasions.
Duties:
- Take care of the creation and planning of menus according to the restaurant philosophy
- Create new dishes, select and develop recipes, establish presentation technique and quality standards
- Oversee all the relevant food hygiene and health safety regulations
- Check the producing process and the standards of food preparation
- Seek ways of improving the quality of the process
- Train and manage the kitchen staff
- Assisting in ordering of supplies
Requirements:
- Strong experience as a Chef and managing staff
- Experienced in managing and supervise big productions
- Multi-cultural work experience
- Fluent in English (Chinese language proficiency not required)
-Ability to work well with people, in a team environment, and to communicate effectively
-Ability to function in a fast paced environment, under short time constraints, and within established deadlines
