We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced proof reader for our K-12 Curriculum Development Department. K-12 Curriculum Development Department, is one of 51Talk's main departments. We are responsible for the designing the framework and content of 51Talk’s junior English courses, as well as designing lesson plans, creating lesson materials to supplement existing courseware, and selecting additional educational products. The curriculum department researches, develops, and compiles a complete and coherent set of educational products full independent from any existing material being used.
Position Information:
Department: K-12 Curriculum Development Department
Position Title: K-12 Curriculum Proof Reader
Working time: Monday to Friday (9-6 or 10-7)
Location: Next to Xierqi subway station
Salary & Benefits: 15000-20000 RMB/per month plus an annual bonus (depending on experience)
Responsibilities：
1. Participate in the proof reading of a core curriculum framework for K-12 reading, writing, and science courses;
2. Proof read the supplementary course materials based on the curriculum framework, including researching, developing, and editing educational products (both teachers’ and students’ materials);
3. Participate and proof read every step of educational product development, including revising materials based on in-class experience, teacher recommendations, student performance, and changing educational standards;
4. Design and participate in teacher training sessions.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. A bachelor’s degree (preferred)
2. Teaching experience;
3. Experience with English language learners;
4. Familiar with American educational standards and teaching practices;
5. Native English speaker with excellent writing skills and command of grammar and language mechanics.
