Job Mission:
The mission of the Import Export Manager is to manage import/export, logistics and operational processes and procedures to support our existing and upcoming overseas clients and vendors’ online and offline trade business.
This is what you will do:
Deliver Import/export service
- Execute import and export operation procedures, including import document preparation and Customs clearance process. Tasks include classification of products (HS code), documents preparation, import permits application, internal/external communication with government offices and vendors.
- Ensure import/export operations are in compliance with Customs regulations.
Manage logistics
- Work with logistics companies for goods shipments overseas and local delivery in China.
- Track shipment status and ensure goods are shipped on time.
- Other trade related logistics.
E-commerce operations
- Work with TP to operate online wholesale stores for LNP clients.
- Collaborate with vendors and TP to upload promote goods to online stores.
- Manage import and logistics for online store goods.
Client and vendor management
- Draft import/export service proposals and contracts for potential clients.
- Manage client relationship on import/export projects.
This is who we are looking for:
- A strong interest in supporting UK / foreign companies trade with China.
- Diploma or bachelor degree in Logistics, International Trade or other related field.
- At least 2-3 work experience in import, export and logistics in China.
- Knowledge of import process in FTZ.
- Knowledge of Harmonized Tariff classification (HS) essential.
- Ideally, at least 2 years experience in a customer-facing role, both in the UK and China; a strong customer service attitude.
- Native Chinese Speaker with fluent written and spoken English.
- Proactive problem solver.
