CCTV News is seeking a Desk Editor in our Beijing headquarters. As a successful candidate, you will edit, write and re-purpose content from international correspondents and local reporters. The editor will be required to quickly read through news stories to immediately transform material information into clear, concise and accurate short stories suitable for broadcast. The editor serves an international audience, and is comfortable working within a high pressure team environment.
Qualifications:
Ability to edit/write quickly, concisely and accurately in English under deadline pressure and handle a variety of topics
Ability to multitask and handle high pressure situations
Bachelor's degree, experience working in real time environment preferred
Ability to type fast, (about 65 words per minute) preferred
Experience in a journalism setting is preferred
