Position description:
Beijing Municipal Government aims to improve English language education in the elementary and secondary schools. Beijing University of Technology is responsible for recruiting 15 native English teachers for the elementary and secondary schools. The teachers are expected to motivate students to have interest in foreign language learning, to have a basic understanding of foreign culture. And also to collaborate with the Chinese teachers to plan activities, discuss the student learning, analyze the student work and promote the education needs of students.
Qualifications:
Native language speakers
Bachelor’s degree with at least two-year teaching experience or above
Appropriate Teaching certification (TEFL, TESOL, TESL, CELTA,TKT)
No criminal record，in good health condition
Age between 18 and 60
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience in curriculum and assessment development
Expertise in building an active, collaborative classroom which encourages problem solving
An ability to communicate well with school students and staff
A positive attitude and a committed team player
General Teaching Responsibilities
In addition to the grade level teaching, teachers are welcomed into collaborative working environment. In support of this, teachers are expected to
Teach English classes in the program
Plan and assess learning based on the needs of the students
Communicate and liaise on a regular basis with fellow team department/grade members with regards to planning, assessment,subject organization and classroom issues including discipline, expectations and routines
Maintain and report up-to-date records of attendance and student learning
Take an active role in behavioral management and pastoral care of students
Sit-in the other English teachers’class
Other tasks determined by supervisor
Working Hours
≤20 periods (1 period = 40/45 mins) per week
Salary Range
12,000 Yuan-15,000 Yuan (RMB)/month before taxation
12 months’salary paid within an academic year
Free fully-equipped on-campus apartment with kitchen and bathroom, or 4000 RMB allowance for off-campus housing monthly
Personal Accident Insurance
Reimbursement for an international round-trip ticket;
Settling-in allowance of 4,400 RMB(one time)
