Beijing This Month Publication (BTMP) is an organisation of the publicity department of Beijing Municipality. Its main task is to promote Chinese culture and the positive image of the Beijing Municipality in the Beijing weekly paper magazine, and to provide information for visitors to Beijing with regular publications such as Beijing Official Guide, Beijing Fact File and Map of Beijing.
In addition to these publications, BTMP organises cultural events, such as “World Photographers Focus on Beijing,” which has run for more than 10 years. Pictures collected from this event are displayed in the “Charming Beijing” Photo Exhibition, organised by BTMP. These photography exhibitions have been mounted internationallys including the United States, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Italy, the Netherlands, South Africa and Korea among other countries.
We are currently looking for a full-time Marketing Assistant to help us in promoting and spreading Chinese and Beijing culture and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
Responsibilities:
Assist in client contact worldwide.
Assist in organising and carrying out events and marketing campaigns.
Work with a marketing team to build organisation image and brand.
Help to draft and proofread marketing related communication materials.
Fulfil any other duties temporarily assigned by BTMP.
Requirements:
A native English speaker is a must as well as proficiency in Chinese.
Highly effective spoken and written communication skills.
Good computer skill in MS Office software, especially Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to bring innovation and sharpness to marketing execution.
Enthusiastic in Chinese culture, particularly Beijing’s culture; without anti-Chinese sentiments or behaviour
