Pioneer Academics is a fast growing, U.S.-based online education company that has been operating since 2012. It has an operational unit in Beijing, China, and students in Asia, the U.S., Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. The company is a socially entrepreneurial venture that offers superlative learning opportunities to a geographically and socioeconomically diverse group of outstanding students.

Pioneer Academics seeks an American staff member with fluent Chinese who will be an entrepreneurial core team member for business development and partner management in China. This position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the generation and implementation of business and partner development strategies. The role serves as the primary leader in reviewing potential opportunities, working to develop new projects and informing management on key trends related to long-term program development in the China market.

Appropriate candidate will be offered a local contract with compensation according to qualifications, including a substantive performance-based portion.


Responsibilities:

- Analyze market and program development opportunities with input to strategic development and positioning of Pioneer Academics
- Develop and maintain key partnerships with schools and other partners in China.
- Research, identify and develop key targets, and delivering presentations to students and partners.
- Answer questions of the program details from students, parents or academic and NGO partners
- Work across functions to make the Pioneer Research Program and brand better understood by the market
- Travel frequently within China and possibly other locations during the peak season of recruiting
- Take responsibility for development targets regarding the caliber and number students enrolled


Desired Qualifications:

- Graduate of a prominent American university with a bachelor’s degree or higher
- Two to five years of business development work experience, creating and developing relationships with Chinese contacts at various levels, preferably in the education sector. Significant experience in China necessary.
- Highly self-motivated and directed with ability to work independently as well as leading and supporting a team
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
- Willing to live in China and willing to travel frequently within China
- Native English and fluent Chinese language skills required
